Halloween Party 2009 - games

Our Halloween party games were:
popping balloons with spider rings inside, grabbing candy from a string (no hands), a ghost hunt, and trick-or-treating around the school and house.

Halloween Party 2009 - crafts

For Halloween, we made haunted house trick-or-treat bags, colorful paper plate monsters, stuffed and laced pumpkins, and spiders on webs.

Halloween Party 2009-pumpkins

We played a pumpkin ring toss game to pick our pumpkins. This year we grew enough pumpkins for each family to carve one pumpkin.

Reading

We do lots of reading, both in class and at home. We learn phonics and sight words. After coming to class for a few months, preschool students are able to read simple books. Students bring a book home every week to practice reading at home. We have a library of over 700 readers for students to borrow. Reading helps students expand and reinforce their English vocabulary as well to remember grammar patterns.
