Easter Party 2010

First, we colored hard-boiled white eggs with crayons.

Then, we dipped them in the dye and counted to twenty.

This year we made marbelled eggs.

Then, we folded origami egg holders to put them in.

Then we went outside for our Easter Egg Hunt!


Y found the golden egg again! Every year for three years!!!

We start our day by writing in journals. Today's question was "What kind of books do you like to read?" Books about princesses and dinosaurs are the most popular.

During indoor free play time, everyone wanted to play the Starfall phonics/sightword game.

During outside playtime today, some played in the sandbox...

and others played jumprope.

During craft time today, we decorated Easter baskets for the Easter Party next week.
We finish our day with each student reading a book of his or her choice aloud.

Animal crafts

At the start of spring we brought home our penguins..

and made Easter bunnies!

During outside playtime today, we did bubbles for the first time this year!

We reviewed cvc (three letter words) with the snowman matching game. The hats have the words, and the snowmen have pictures.

We had an all girl class today and made princess wands!
